About Cool Aid’s Recovery Housing
Opening in the spring of 2026, Cool Aid’s first Recovery House will provide 20 units of substance free, supportive transitional housing for individuals who have completed early-stage recovery and are experiencing homelessness or housing instability. The goal is to support continued recovery, promote independent living skills, and prepare residents for long-term stable housing.

Model Overview
- Peer-supported community living with light-touch oversight
- Harm-reduction informed but abstinence-based
- Strong referral, discharge, and case management
- Resident responsibility and community involvement
- 6 to 24-month duration of stay, based on individual goals

Eligibility Criteria
- Male or male indentifying
- 19 years or older
- Have completed a medical detox program
- Have completed a residential or structured in-patient or outpatient treatment program
- Have a minimum of 60 days continuous abstinence from alcohol and non-prescribed substances
- Be without a fixed address or exiting supportive housing
- Be willing to maintain abstinence, engage in recovery goals, and adhere to house rules
- Be able to live independently with minimal support
- Must be working or volunteering in the community within 6 months of entering the program
