Thanks to the generosity of this community, construction on the Dr. Joe Haegert Community Health Centre is complete and soon it will welcome its first patients. This is a milestone years in the making.
For nearly six decades, Cool Aid has worked to ensure that thousands of people in our community have access to health care, mental health and recovery services, stable housing, and the wraparound support they need to thrive. This year’s Health + Homecoming Gala is our chance to celebrate how far we’ve come and raise the final funds to finish what we started.

How to Become a Sponsor

The Health + Homecoming Gala brings together 200+ business leaders, healthcare champions, philanthropists, and community advocates for an evening of live music, storytelling, and real impact. Your sponsorship helps open the Dr. Joe Haegert Community Health Centre, bringing barrier-free, trauma-informed care to thousands of people who need it most.

Our Online Auction is Now Live!
You don’t need to be in the ballroom to make an impact. Our silent auction is open to the public, and bidding is officially open! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have a curated lineup of amazing items—from exclusive getaways and local experiences to unique goods and services.
Whether you’re hunting for a great local find or looking for something special, every dollar you bid goes directly toward the completion of the Dr. Joe Haegert Community Health Centre.
How to Place Your Bids?
1. Browse the Items: Click the button above to view our full auction catalog.
2. Register & Place Your First Bid: When you find an item you love, enter your bid. You’ll be prompted to quickly provide your email and payment details to register. (Note: Your card will only be charged if you win the item at the close of the auction on September 26).
3. Save Your Personal Link: After your first bid, check your inbox! You will receive an email with a secure, personal access link. Keep this email handy—you can use this link to return to the auction at any time to check your items or place new bids without having to re-enter your information.
4. Set it and Forget it: You can place single bids, or use the Auto-Bid feature. Simply enter the maximum amount you’re willing to pay, and the system will automatically bid on your behalf to keep you in the lead up to your limit.
5. Watch for Updates: You’ll receive an email notification if you get outbid, giving you the chance to use your personal link to jump right back in!
A Note on Zeffy (our auction plaatform):
When placing your bid, Zeffy will offer an option to add a tip to support their platform. This tip is completely optional. Zeffy provides their software to non-profits completely free of charge and covers all credit card processing fees. If you prefer not to contribute to their platform, simply choose “Other” in the dropdown menu and enter $0. Whether you choose to leave a tip or set it to zero, 100% of your winning bid will always go directly to Cool Aid.

The Health + Homecoming Gala features a silent auction, life auction, and a mystery gift game—and we need your help to make them extraordinary.
This year, our silent auction goes public. In addition to our 200+ Gala guests, auction items will be promoted to Cool Aid’s community of over 4,000 donors and shared across our social media channels, giving your donation maximum exposure and driving bids well beyond the ballroom.
Whether you’re a local business, a maker, or a service provider, donating to the auction is a meaningful way to support the community and get your brand in front of a wide, engaged audience.
We welcome donations of all kinds: experiences, services, products, getaways, gift certificates, and more. Every contribution goes directly toward raising funds for the Dr. Joe Haegert Community Health Centre and Cool Aid’s housing and health programs.

When and where is the gala?
The Health + Homecoming Gala takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Hotel Grand Pacific, 463 Belleville Street, Victoria, BC.

What does my ticket include?
Your ticket includes access to a reception-style evening with plenty of food, beverages, live music, a silent auction, live auction, mystery gift game, and more. Come hungry.

Will I receive a tax receipt for my ticket?
Yes. A portion of your ticket purchase is eligible for a charitable tax receipt. The exact amount will be confirmed closer to the event — last year the receiptable portion was $80 per ticket.

What should I wear?
Cocktail attire is encouraged — dress to celebrate.

Is parking available?
Parking is available at the Hotel Grand Pacific at an additional cost. The hotel is also easily accessible by transit and a short walk from downtown Victoria.

Can I participate in the silent auction if I’m not attending?
Yes! This year our silent auction is open to the public. Follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter to be notified when bidding opens.

How do I donate an item to the auction?

How are my ticket proceeds used?
Every dollar raised supports Cool Aid’s housing and health programs — including the soon-to-open Dr. Joe Haegert Community Health Centre at Crosstown.

Is there a fee to purchase tickets through Zeffy?
When you check out, Zeffy will offer you the option to leave a small tip to support their platform — this is completely optional and entirely up to you. If you choose not to contribute, simply set the amount to zero. Either way, 100% of your ticket price goes directly to Cool Aid.
